ORIT ENTERTAINMENT

ORIT ENTERTAINMENT is a film and television production company founded by Academy Award® Winner Octavia Spencer.  From 2017-2019, I served as the Head of Film + TV Development and Octavia Spencer’s Producing Partner.  

As an Executive Producer, Spencer made her mark on 2013’s Fruitvale Station, directed by Ryan Coogler and co-starring Michael B. Jordan, which went on to win the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance and Best First Feature at Cannes. In 2017, Octavia executive produced the critically acclaimed SMALL TOWN CRIME, written and directed by the Nelms Brothers, in which she also stars alongside John Hawkes, Anthony Anderson and Robert Forster. Upon its release, the film was applauded by the LA Times, NY Times, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Spencer then went on to executive produce GREEN BOOK (2019), which won numerous accolades including Best Motion Picture at the Academy Awards.

During my time at ORIT, announced projects included Spencer as an executive producer on “Truth Be Told” with Reese Witherspoon for Apple, “Madam C.J. Walker” with Lebron James for Netflix; the RHINELAND AFFAIR with Queen Latifah; FAIRY TALE ENDING, a project that re-teams her with Bryce Dallas Howard; and a limited series based on the Jonestown Massacre with Vince Gilligan and Michelle MacLaren for HBO.

I also led the development and production of ORIT’s animated company logo.
