A BRAVE HEART

I first met Global Speaker Lizzie Velasquez when I spearheaded the PR campaign for the TEDx Summit where she gave her now famous "How Do You Define Yourself?" speech. Our small, inaugural TEDxAustinWomen event ultimately became TEDWomen's #1 livestream of 2013 out of over 220 events, across 58 countries. After TED, I began to represent Lizzie for all of her personal PR and speaking engagements and I also served a Producer and Head of Worldwide Publicity for "A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story," a documentary following the inspiring journey of 25 year old, 58-pound Lizzie from cyber-bullying victim to anti-bullying activist. The film, which was shot in the U.S., the U.K. and Mexico, premiered at SXSW in 2015 where it won the Audience Award and went on to win top honors at every single festival it played thereafter. The film is on iTunes, DVD, and Amazon Video in over 12 languages.
